• Low link activity detection in 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) – low network traffic is detected and switch can adjust the power consumption of the link. The 802.3az function can be easily set by a switch on the housing.
• Detect inactive links – detection of inactive links or devices will reduce power consumption.
• Detect wire length – this function adjusts power usage accordingly and, based on the detected distance from the connected device, reduces power consumption for nearby connections.
• No fans – quiet operation thanks to the design without active cooling, which makes GS1100 switches suitable for small rooms.
