What is an AGM battery? AGM is an energy storage battery with a wide range of commercial applications. Not only can we power toys and alarm systems with it, but it is also the heart of any UPS. Green Cell AGM batteries have a very wide range of applications. They can be used for both cyclic and buffer operation.
Cyclic operation
The cyclic use of a battery is to use it as a stand-alone power source. AGMs of this type are prepared for very frequent charging and discharging. Thus, they are used in wheelchairs, photovoltaic installations, golf carts, toys and lawnmowers.
Buffer operation
Buffer operation allows a battery to act as a backup power supply for a plugged-in device. A battery connected to a power system in the event of a failure of the main power source provides additional power. They are used in this way in alarm systems, UPS, cash registers or emergency lighting.
Maintenance-free operation
Batteries made with AGM technology were created to ensure the greatest possible safety during use. Thanks to the self-regulation function (VRLA valves), AGMs provide up to 5 years of maintenance-free operation. It increases the safety of the device’s operation, regardless of the position of the battery.
