MikroTik CRS310-1G-5S-4S OUT netFiber 9: make network management much easier

It is a high performance outdoor switch with SFP, SFP and Gigabit Ethernet ports. It has a powerful ARM v7 processor, 256 MB RAM, 4x 10G SFP ports, and Marvell’s advanced switching chip to handle even the heaviest workloads. The Gigabit Ethernet port is not just for management. It has a direct connection to the switch chip, so you can enjoy full Gigabit speeds. This port also supports PoE-in, so you don’t have to rely on a DC jack to provide power in tight, hard-to-reach places.

There is a console port and then five regular SFP ports and four SFP ports for 10 Gbps networking. This means that at some point there may be a lot of cables that need to be sorted out. The device comes in a chassis with a few handy extras on the bottom of the chassis to help you stay organized.

The rugged housing provides decent protection in dusty environments and the occasional splash of water. It’s ideal for outdoors where there’s a light canopy – such as on a roof or in a regular closet. At the back is a massive heat sink that serves two functions. Not only does it provide excellent heat dissipation, but it also moves the center of mass towards the side, making the board stable and strong during installation. Included in the package are metal hose clamps and screws so you can attach the netFiber to a pole, wall or mast right away.
